Jane is a brilliant, fearless woman. In the beginning of Thor she is chasing a storm in hopes that it will support her theory on the Einstein-Rosen Bridge (essentially it is just a wormhole). While Darcy turns away from the storm, Jane wants to continue driving into it to find answers. She seems to hold no fear as she goes head first into life threatening situations for either her research or people she cares about.
She’s a tough girl, and while she does go into dangerous situations from time to time, she always uses her head. When she went with Thor to the SHIELD base, once she knew she was in over her head, she called Erik Selvig to come help her. She knew he had dealings with SHIELD and could probably help her and Thor.
Her strength is in her intellect and her determination. She gives her all into her research and it has pretty much consumed her life. She customized some of her equipment for her research and doesn’t use her money for anything else. She travels in a van with Erik Selvig and her assistant Darcy and it’s evident that is where she lives most of the time. She does have a place for work. While it does contain a kitchen it seems she is always on the move for her research. She’s a workaholic, which may have had an impact on her previous romantic relationships.
While her determination and intellect is her strength, I say it can also be a double edge sword for her. She’ll do anything for her research and she is a fearless woman. It can land her into some terrible situations. You would assume that Jane would only believe facts but she actually is a very hopeful and open individual. She was able to accept that there were other realms and she incorporated it into her research. Upon meeting Thor, he gave her more of a push to continue her research and never giving him.

She is an astrophysicist so she has a brilliant mind. She customized most of her equipment that she used for research.
[Affection]
Characters can catch her off guard with a hug. Kissing I would say only on the hand. Most affection she would probably initiated.

Jane isn’t a skilled fighter but she never backs down from danger. She could probably get roughed up easily. She is only human.
